It's a hallmark of Green Bay Packers training camp. Saturday night was the team's annual Family Night, a practice session with other festivities at a sold-out Lambeau Field.

Fans likely kept a close eye on quarterback Jordan Love, as well as other high-profile aspects of camp, like the kicking battle between Anders Carlson and Greg Joseph.

Our PackersNews team provided coverage throughout Family Night. Check out highlights below:

Fireworks conclude Packers Family Night at Lambeau Field

Kickers Anders Carlson and Greg Joseph brought their "A games" to Packers Family Night

Anders Carlson and Greg Joseph are lights out tonight.

Both were just good from 55 yaards.

Carlson finished tonight 8 for 8 and Joseph 7 for 8. For training camp, Carlson is 32 for 38 and Joseph 35 for 38.

Packers offense goes nowhere in 2-minute drill

This wasn't a great look from the Packers offense in its 2-minute drill.

  • First and 10: Isaiah McDuffie blankets AJ Dillon for an incomplete pass
  • Second and 10: Kenny Clark bats a pass down at the line of scrimmage
  • Third and 10: Jaire Alexander blankets Romeo Doubs on an out route for an incomplete pass
  • Fourth and 10: Javon Bullard tackles tight end Luke Musgrave for no gain after a Jordan Love checkdown

Jordan Love highlights: Packers quarterback showing off accuracy

Christian Watson collides with rookie Evan Williams, wide receiver leaves field momentarily

Wide receiver Christian Watson is being tended to on the sideline after a collision on a throw deep down the middle from Jordan Love.

It looked like Watson collided with rookie safety Evan Williams, although there were two defenders in the area when the pass got there. Watson went down and rolled on his back before heading to the sideline.

The trainers were around him on the sideline for about a minute. Watson eventually walked away with his helmet and stood on the sideline while the No. 2 offense was on the field.

Watson later returned, so he's OK.

Packers rookie quarterback Michael Pratt shows toughness

Michael Pratt is wearing a red jersey, but took a bump from Brenton Cox Jr.

It was enough to knock him to the ground. The Packers rookie quarterback from Tulsa still stood in the pocket and delivered to Julian Hicks for 23 yards over the middle. It was a good rep from a player looking to make the roster.

-- Ryan Wood

Packers rookie Ty-Ron Hopper makes spectacular play on Jordan Love pass

Packers rookie linebacker Ty'Ron Hopper delivers a really nice play.

In trail coverage on thrid-and-8, Jordan Love dropped a pass in the bucket to Christian Watson.

It might've been Love's best throw of the night and would've been a big gain, but Hopper stuck his hand in and forced an incompletion.

-- Ryan Wood

Packers kicking competition update

In round 2 of the kicking battle between Anders Carlson and Greg Joseph, both kickers were perfect again.

Carlson hit from 45 and 49 yards and Joseph hit from 47 and 52 yards.

But one of the kickers finally blinked.

In the third round, Carlson hit from 52 and 54 yards. Joseph hit from 49 yards but missed wide left from 54.

Joseph had hit 17 straight field goal attempts until that miss.

Packers kickers stats during training camp

  • Carlson tonight: 7-7
  • Joseph tonight: 6-7
  • Carlson camp: 31-37
  • Joseph camp: 34-37

-- Ryan Wood

Packers punter Daniel Whelan looks great at Family Night

Daniel Whelan has had a strong start to training camp.

The Packers punter has regularly boomed the ball with plus 4.5-second hang time.

Special teams coach Rich Bisaccia has him working on directional kicking and punting inside the 20-yard line but he has to be happy with his hang time and distance most days.

His hang times on punts at Family Night were 3.81, 4.91, 4.84, 4.97, 4.56, 5.11, 5.34, 5.2, 4.67, 4.55 and 4.50.

-- Tom Silverstein

Caleb Jones, Packers offensive line update

Massive tackle Caleb Jones has been mostly silent during training camp, starting out on the injury list before returning this past week.

He had been working mostly with the third team until tonight.

Normally, Andre Dillard or Kadeem Telfort would slide into the No. 2 left tackle spot and Jones worked behind starter Rasheed Walker.

The 6-9, 350-plus-pound Jones has hung around for two years as the Packers waited for him to rebuild his body after tipping the scales at more than 400 pounds while in college at Indiana. He has played well in preseason games and given the Packers hope he might be able to develop into a quality backup.

It seems like he's getting another shot to prove himself.

Dillard got the first No. 1 reps at right tackle but Telfort rotated in. Starter Zach Tom continues to be held out of team drills after coming off pectoral surgery in April.

-- Tom Silverstein

Packers have fun at Family Night

It's time for a contest: See who can catch most punts at once. Jaire Alexander caught two. The third bounced off his chest.

A random youth football player just caught three.

The entire Packers sideline mobs the kid after the third. It's a wild celebration.

-- Ryan Wood

Romeo Doubs scores two touchdowns

A third-and-goal from 5, Jordan Love hits Romeo Doubs on a slant against Eric Stokes for a touchdown.

Have a feeling we're gonna see that a lot this season.

Then on the next rep, Love tossed a fade to Doubs into the end zone from 3 yards out. Doubs goes up and gets it over Keisean Nixon for a touchdown. Doubs has looked like a handful so far in camp.

-- Ryan Wood

How are Packers kickers looking during Family Night?

Both Anders Carlson and Greg Joseph went 2 for 2 to start the official kicking part of practice (they both hit PATs in warmups).

Carlson and Joseph both hit extra points to start the drill.

Joseph hit from 45 yards from the left hash and Carlson hit from 47 yards from the right hash.

Both are expected to kick a lot more tonight.

Jordan Love is very sharp at Packers Family Night

Jordan Love is feeling it tonight.

In the opening team drill, he completes 4 of 6 passes for 64 yards. The Packers quarterback is picking up yards in chunk plays against the defense.

Ben Sims can't catch Jordan Love's strong throw

Jordan Love just put a laser on Packers tight end Ben Sims down the right seam. But Sims dropped it. It would've been good for about 25 yards.

Josh Jacobs goes through warmups but isn't practicing

It appears Josh Jacobs was only going through warmups before the start of Family Night practice. He's not practicing during the team reps.

Eric Stokes keeps making big plays for Packers defense

Eric Stokes continues to be one of the stars of training camp.

He has an impressive jump on third-and-6 out route to Romeo Doubs, breaking up a Jordan Love pass. Stokes has had a really strong start to camp.

Jordan Love to Christian Watson connection is a thing of beauty

The Packers offense is clicking at Family Night.

After Reed's touchdown, Christian Watson beat Jaire Alexander deep on a go ball down left side from Jordan Love. Those two have been on same wavelength deep in this camp, something we just didn't see at this time one year ago.

Jayden Reed scores touchdown, does Lambeau Leap

Jayden Reed beats Packers rookie cornerback Kalen King deep on a go ball down right sideline in a one on one drill and then does a Lambeau Leap.

The Lambeau Field crowd approves.

Packers running back Josh Jacobs has returned to practice. He missed just one day on Thursday with a groin injury.
