It’s been a great start to the knockout stages in Germany, with a huge shock to kick off proceedings.

In the earlier game today, Switzerland stunned defending champions Italy with a 2-0 win in Berlin.

Remo Freuler and Ruben Vargas were the scorers for a Swiss side who were good value for their win.

They’ll now face the winners of the England-Slovakia clash.

After booking their place in the last eight, the hosts now head to Stuttgart for a quarterfinal against either Spain or Georgia.

That match will take place on Friday, July 5.

No offence to Georgia, but Germany vs Spain could be an unbelievable match.

The Danes bow out of the tournament without winning a game but that doesn’t tell the whole story of their efforts.

They were unlucky against Germany this evening, with the whole game hinging on that disallowed Andersen goal.
